EPA Proposes Two Designs for Fuel Labels;
The EPA has proposed two designs for new fuel labels, and wants the input of consumers as to how the new labels will be designed. The labels will be found on vehicles sold at Stamford Nissan Dealers and every other dealership in the nation. At the moment there are MPG stickers on new vehicles, but the EPA wants to include more information about carbon emissions and other types of information. The EPA wants to show whether models sold at Chattanooga Ford Dealers are better for the environment than other models or worse. Auto dealers have opposed the new stickers which may result in decreased sales for certain models. The EPA and other government and environmental regulators want to put these new stickers on vehicles to help consumers who are environmentally conscious or otherwise curious as to what types of carbon emissions and other information can be expected from their vehicle. The rehaul of the vehicle sticker would be the first in over 30 years. There are two proposed designs for the vehicle label that would be included in most vehicle models.
The vehicles with the stick would include diesel, gasoline, electric, and hybrid models. The more radical label would include a grade for the vehicle based on the emissions of the vehicle and mpg ratings. Vehicles with less mpg ratings and greater CO2 emissions would receive a “poor” grade of D-, whereas the best vehicles for fuel efficiency that also have the least emissions would receive an A+ grade. This grade would be very visible on vehicle windows.
However, many dealers are in opposition to the new vehicle sticker which may mean decreased sales for models that feature a “D” grade. Up until now, vehicles have been only compared with others in the same class rather than being compared to all vehicles.

It’s open space will be the upcoming theme for all Mazdas. The Shinari interlocks technology specifically for the driver to be informed at an instant notice. The Human Machine Interface (HMI) has three modes. The Business, Sport and Personal mode, that makes it to where you can see any profile of a potential business partner before you shake their hand. The combination of four seats and the glass roof breathes openess to no end. Its classy cluster of round gauges, represents that of something on your wrist, anti up the sophication. Some say its close to the Aston Martin Rapide but I would have to rebut that. While the Aston Martin Rapide is stylish and well on its own, the Shinari speaks more covert sleek design. There is more soul, more personality actually coming from the car. It says more just by staring at you with those conniving eyes with the wheels turned slightly, almost implying…are you competent enough to drive this? It is one piece of machinery I would love to climb in and take control.

Annoying Driver Habits.
Sure, this article really has little to do with the actual cars from Honda Hattiesburg, but rather how people in this country drive them around town! This is a challenge to auto makers to find ways to improve their vehicles so that people behind the wheels are better drivers. Right now there are functions on some of the cars from St. Petersburg Chevy Dealer that will actually parallel park your car for you! That definitely is a plus for those of us that are spatially challenged, but what can we do about other drivers who have misplaced their driving manners?
Try and think back to driver’s education and one of the first things you learned to do consistently was use your turn signal. Think of those really new and young drivers that even use their turn signal in parking lots or when they are going around a natural curve in the road! But, as time goes on, people become more and more complacent and comfortable behind the wheel of their car from Dodge Washington that they fail to use their signals when they should. How annoying! On the flip side, it is just as annoying when someone forgets to turn their turn signal off and you are stuck behind them for 50 miles on the freeway. We are unaware of a way to indicate to someone they have forgotten to turn off their signal, and some cars will alert drivers if their turn signal has been on too long.
Another obnoxious trait that many drivers have come to think is all right is blaring your music so that the cemetery residents think its too loud. There is no reason that when at a stop light that the car next to you is vibrating and the passengers are holding their ears in agony. Simple solution: remove some sub-woofers and speakers, and possibly you won’t need hearing aids later in life!

Toyota and GM Issue New Recall;
Both Toyota and GM, whose pre-owned vehicles can be purchased at CT used car dealers, have issued a new recall for their models. Toyota is announcing the recall of many models due to complaints of engine stalling. GM has found complaints on models as well. Be sure to check out Mazda 3 Deals on the Mazda 3 which so far as not had any complaints of engine stalling. Around 1.3 million vehicles from the years 2005-2008 are being recalled for these complaints. Toyota will issue a recall of 1.1 million Corolla models and Corolla Matrix models. There were 1,000 complaints of engine stalling with these models.
Also, look at your local Volkswagen Dealer for models which are high quality and are built with the latest manufacturing standards. GM will recall 200,000 models of the Pontiac Vibe which was also receiving complaints of engine stalling. The Vibe is a sister vehicle for the Corolla Matrix which is why both models are affected by the same defect. Toyota had engine control problems with the Corolla models that were contributing to the engine stalling problems.
The electric component used to protect the vehicle’s circuits from voltage may develop cracks at solder points. The cracks may end up stopping the engine while it is being driven. The result is that many have experienced dangerous vehicle stoppings while they are driving. There have been some accidents reported from the engine stallings but no deaths have been reported.
The affected vehicles were all in North America. The number of recalls issued will add to the current number of Toyota recalls since late last year. The total number for Toyota recalls is now 12.3 million vehicles around the world with 10.5 million of those vehicles being in the United States. It seems that the U.S. market has been the most affected by Toyota recalls, however Toyota hopes that these will be the last for a long time.

Red Light Cameras: Yay or Nay?
As citizens of this country, there is a certain amount of blind faith that we put in our government to protect us. But what if some of the laws and regulations that are in effect actually end up doing more harm than good? Here is a scenario to ponder: you are pulling out of Brandon Chevrolet Dealer after just buying your new car and get pulled over by the police for speeding. They then find that you don’t have current registration and hassle you about that, but you just got the car and you haven’t gotten your registration in the mail yet. This is a mild scenario, but still it happens and is frustrating for consumers. What about those pesky red light offense cameras that several cities have installed? You are driving in your new car from Nissan New York when the light changes quickly to red and then you receive a ticket in the mail. Maybe you did or didn’t run the red light, but in this economy is it right for cities to be scraping every cent out of their citizens in this manner?
Having recently gotten one of these red light tickets, I can tell you first hand how infuriating the process was. The traffic court was full of other drivers there to contest their tickets, some driving cars from Acura Pittsburgh. One woman was contesting her ticket because she stopped at the red light but then inched out to see if she could safely make a right turn; the camera interpreted this as running the light. She contested and won, but the judge cautioned her to stop at the line next time and stay there.
What is even more interesting is that some cities have begun removing their red light cameras because the revenue from tickets decreased as people became more aware of their locations and thus changed their driving habits. We can all appreciate efforts to make the streets safer for all, but is this really the right way to do it?

The Jeep Grand Cherokee which is manufactured by Chrysler is currently under investigation. The model may have potential fire hazards after accidents. The vehicle’s fuel tank has been shown to catch fire in some circumstances, and the reasons why it catches fire may be due to an improper or unsafe location.
Models from the years 1993-2004 were affected by the supposed defect, and there have been 13 deaths that may be related to the defect. Further investigation is necessary in order for the defect to be confirmed. Once a defect is confirmed, Chrysler will announce a recall of the affected models. Until then, Chrysler warned that there is no consensus on whether there really is a defect or not, and that the company will have to wait and see what the results of the investigation are before issuing a recall. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a popular SUV model and the recall may affect up to 3 million models.

I think back to the last time I was in a dealership and there was an elderly gentleman at the counter complaining that the garage door sync feature of his brand new vehicle didn’t work, nor did the cruise control, nor did the keyless entry. I give kudos to the professionalism of the staff who took the gentleman aside and explained everything to him and then directed him to his owner’s manual for further guidance. Story made short: use your manual rather than frustrating the customer service people!

Prices of SUV Crossovers Increase 30%
Although SUV crossover vehicles like those sold at Volvo Santa Ana dealers have been increasing in popularity over the past year, so have their prices. Some used SUV and crossover vehicles are selling for 30 percent more at retail than they did a year ago, which indicates that used models are selling for higher prices this year. The prices for used models last year were very low, perhaps due to the decreased auto sales and the recession. As a result, used vehicle models have substantially increased in price from last year, and for some it may seem dramatic, but it really is a testament to how low the prices were for many models last year. 2009 was one of the worst years for the United States automotive industry for many years, and 2009 followed the recession of 2008 which resulted in major decreases in auto sales across most market segments.

More FICO Confusion.
Anyone who has ever purchased a vehicle from Indiana Chevrolet Dealer or some other dealership knows how long and how much of a hassle the whole process can be. They take and take and take from you; all your personal information, your patience, and your time. The whole process can be incredibly frustrating, and if you are shopping at a higher end place like Acura St. Louis you might find yourself negotiating more than you care to. Well, the folks at Fair Isaac Corp. have made that process hopefully a little easier. It might be confusing at first, but once the dust settles, it should be a good thing for everyone, consumers and dealerships like VW Arizona alike. The credit score inventors have decided to revamp their scoring process once again, this time hopefully making it easier for dealers and lenders to finance more people.
FICO 8 is already being used by about 2,500 banks, dealerships, and other financial places of business. Corporations still have their choice of using either the new system or the older one, but sooner rather than later everyone will convert to the new scoring system. FICO 8 will still work off of a 300 to 850 point scale range, with people who fall in the 300 to 499 area considered high risk. The new system will say that low risk people are those with scores of 800 to 850.
But, the accuracy of the new scores has increased so much that lenders can be more confident lending to a greater population of people because the new system is able to predict risk much more accurately. Or some lenders and dealerships may choose not to change their cutoff score and thus they will incur less losses over time. But, turning people away will not help you sell cars! With how reliant our society has become on computers, payment histories are able to change more quickly and are far more accurate. As consumers are able to change their credit score quicker, lenders can feel more confident lending to people and know that hopefully they will not default on loan payments.

Kia Launches Invesgitation into Soul Complaint;
The Kia Soul was the subject of complaint by one driver who said that the Soul completely lost steering wheel control. The complaint was simultaneously being investigated by NHTSA, and the investigation may lead to a recall if there are more complaints. Cincinnati Chevy Dealer businesses sell models of the Chevy Traverse and others that have had a recent recall, and Kia hopes to avoid this but the company will perform its own investigations. The NHTSA opened a preliminary investigation of the issue in the attempt to stop any problems in steering with the model before they lead to serious injuries or accidents. The Kia vice president of service had this to say about the defect, “Kia Motors America has been actively cooperating with NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation since being advised by the Acting Director late last week that an investigation was being opened regarding the 2010″
Due to the fact that the incident only occurred one time so far, it may be that it was a rare circumstance or driver error. The vice president said that Kia would be quickly reviewing the issue and determining as soon as possible if the loss of steering was a manufacturer defect or caused by something else. The entire Kia Motors organization is reviewing the complaint and will have a report after it conducts its investigation. The supposed loss of steering occurred on a new vehicle a few months after it was purchased.
