A prominent business man and county commisioner in Glynn County Georgia, Tony Thaw, owner of Thaw’s Electric Service has come forward to decry all of the recent hoopla about Glynn County’s unconstitutional flag ordinance.
In statements made to the Brunswick News he claims that the public outcry of recent Glynn County Code Enforcement Division citations is just a publicity stunt by the affected businesses to attract more customers. Having first hand knowledge of of the situation I know for a fact that is not the case.
While every individual is entitled to their opinion, rightfully so, it is not apparent to why he would make statements such as this if was not to push his own political aspirations. It looks like he is taking advice from the Glynn County Commissioner at Large, Cap Fendig, on how not to diffuse a bad move by the Glynn County Board of Commissioners.
While it is not known what his future political aspirations are it would appear that he really does not care about what his constituents think, unless they are powerful and think his shoulder is one to rub. He tried to make a mockery of the situation at the board meeting this evening now he can “Have a Baby Ruth and the Truth” as we continue to report on this.
Looks like the good ol’ boys from the Island will have a lot to discuss after the next local election when the seats they fill are taken by people not in their clique.
Their new motto may just be, “Silence is Golden”

It looks like small town politics is still alive and doing well in America. Please keep the government small and limit the regulation and intervention of city, state, and federal government away from small business and everyone will be better for it.
