Although SUV crossover vehicles like those sold at Volvo Santa Ana dealers have been increasing in popularity over the past year, so have their prices.  Some used SUV and crossover vehicles are selling for 30 percent more at retail than they did a year ago, which indicates that used models are selling for higher prices this year.  VW Deals sell models like the Volkswagen Touareg at a discount which is a popular mid-sized crossover.  Used prices for various models remain high in 2010, and many Chevrolet used and new models can be repaired at a FL Chevrolet Service.

On average, the prices of used vehicles decreased in July when they were up to record levels last spring.  The average prices for the Cadillac Escalade model were up from a year ago along with the Dodge Grand Caravan which was selling for a price for 34 percent more used than last year.  Because there are many who are not confident in the economy, used vehicle purchases are increasing and this increases pressure and prices on the limited supply of used vehicles available.

Around this time last year, the Cash for Clunkers program allowed people to trade in used vehicles for new and fuel efficient vehicle models.  Without such an incentive, consumers have switched to buying used vehicle models in order to save money.  The prices for used models last year were very low, perhaps due to the decreased auto sales and the recession.  As a result, used vehicle models have substantially increased in price from last year, and for some it may seem dramatic, but it really is a testament to how low the prices were for many models last year.  2009 was one of the worst years for the United States automotive industry for many years, and 2009 followed the recession of 2008 which resulted in major decreases in auto sales across most market segments.
