2008 Mazda BMW and Mazda Recalls!

Again, there are more recalls being issued for automotive consumers! The latest include the BMW Z4 model years 2003 until 2005. The Mazda3 model years 2007 through 2009 are also affected. Both of these models can be found at Salt Lake City Used Cars, and dealerships across the country will be participating in these recalls. While some consumers may want to check out Volkswagen Deals rather than deal with the hassle of getting their car fixed, keep in mind that a new vehicle will require a visit to a financing department such as Jersey City Chevy Service. It is likely to be frustrating having to deal with the associated fine print of a recall, but usually the problem is remedied and you will be quite happy when all is said and done.

Both car makers are being investigated for possible problems related to the power steering systems. If the power steering system goes out while the driver is using the vehicle or traveling at high speeds, it is likely that the driver could have a crash. This recall is going to affect 342,000 vehicles world wide. The Mazda3 has received 33 complaints from drivers that their power steering system failed while driving and 3 of those drivers did have a motor vehicle collision. The BMW Z4 has received 107 complaints from their consumers and one driver reports having a crash. Consumers are able to report this information and complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

While it is always disheartening to learn that something you have spent so much money on has something wrong with it, don’t start pointing blame too quickly. Recalls have happened for years and years, and usually the defects are caught and fixed before anyone is hurt. After Toyota Motor Corporation had to recall 10.6 million vehicles for unintentional acceleration problems, the media is paying extra attention reporting even the smallest thing to go wrong. This extra attention to detail is a safety measure for consumers, but can also make us on edge!
