It has been a busy week so far when it comes to recalls. Not only are several vehicles from Grants Toyota affected, but many Volvo and Chrysler vehicles are being recalled for various reasons. As of right now, none of the vehicles from Harvey Honda Dealers are being impacted by this recall. Toyota and Lexus are having problems with their master cylinders while Volvo is having an issue with airbags and Chrysler has power steering problems. Talk about a variety! Cars can be repaired at Arlington Honda Service, but the recall repair is usually free and has to be done at specific dealerships.
Toyota is currently recalling 1.53 million vehicles in the U.S. and Japan. Master cylinder problems are affecting Lexus, Avalon, and other Toyota vehicles. There are approximately 740,000 cars within the United States and 599,000 over in Japan that are part of the recall. As of right now, there have been no known accidents associated with this problem. Earlier this year in July, a similar recall was issued surrounding Dodge Nitro and Ram 1500 trucks. If you own a Toyota or Lexus, you should visit their respective recall website for further information.
Approximately 10,000 Volvo vehicles are being recalled due to a faulty driver’s side airbag. There is a defect in the wiring that might cause the airbag to deploy incorrectly if it deploys at all. The S80, V70, XC60, and XC70 vehicles are affected that were produced between 2010 and 2011. Volvo has announced that the fix is quite simple and they will be contacting drivers to notify them of where to seek repairs. American brand Chrysler has issued a recall of 26,000 of their vehicles due to faulty electric power steering. If you own a Sebring or Chrysler 300, you will want to contact customer service for further instructions. The same thing applies for owners of the Avenger, Challenger, Journey, and Ram from Dodge.
