Prices of SUV Crossovers Increase 30%

2010 Cadillac Escalade 01 300x225 Prices of SUV Crossovers Increase 30%

Although SUV crossover vehicles like those sold at Volvo Santa Ana dealers have been increasing in popularity over the past year, so have their prices.  Some used SUV and crossover vehicles are selling for 30 percent more at retail than they did a year ago, which indicates that used models are selling for higher prices this year.  VW Deals sell models like the Volkswagen Touareg at a discount which is a popular mid-sized crossover.  Used prices for various models remain high in 2010, and many Chevrolet used and new models can be repaired at a FL Chevrolet Service.

On average, the prices of used vehicles decreased in July when they were up to record levels last spring.  The average prices for the Cadillac Escalade model were up from a year ago along with the Dodge Grand Caravan which was selling for a price for 34 percent more used than last year.  Because there are many who are not confident in the economy, used vehicle purchases are increasing and this increases pressure and prices on the limited supply of used vehicles available.

Around this time last year, the Cash for Clunkers program allowed people to trade in used vehicles for new and fuel efficient vehicle models.  Without such an incentive, consumers have switched to buying used vehicle models in order to save money.  The prices for used models last year were very low, perhaps due to the decreased auto sales and the recession.  As a result, used vehicle models have substantially increased in price from last year, and for some it may seem dramatic, but it really is a testament to how low the prices were for many models last year.  2009 was one of the worst years for the United States automotive industry for many years, and 2009 followed the recession of 2008 which resulted in major decreases in auto sales across most market segments.

High Insurance on Cheap Cars?

Expensive Insurance High Insurance on Cheap Cars?

When you purchase your car, you are supposed to consider how much your insurance is going to cost.  These following five vehicles have been reported by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety as being the most costly to insure because of how much insurance companies have had to pay out in accident claims over a three year period.  Luckily, none of the models from Bradenton Chevy Dealer made the list!

The Dodge Magnum can be found at St. George Chrysler Dodge Jeep and is pretty much just a station wagon with a V8 engine.  Anyone who has ever tried to follow a mother who is late will know that they tend to be speedy drivers!  Perhaps this power and appearance of this strong and forceful looking wagon made drivers a bit too confident, but it gets to boast that out of six areas, it took 5 for the highest risk categories!

So the Mercedes-Benz CLS may not be a “cheap” car, but for some reason, this car is so expensive to repair and is high risk in two out of five categories.  Being compared to the Volkswagen CC and Audi A7, this gorgeous coupe may just be too much of a distraction to other drivers.

The Suzuki Forenza may be discontinued, but it is a substantial risk to insure!  It may have been cheap to purchase, but insurance companies hate having to insure this little car.  There is no apparent reason for all the collisions, just bad luck perhaps!

The Scion tC is aimed at young drivers by its sleek design and low price tag.  It earned five out six substantial risk categories.  This car reminds us of the Honda Civic; young people can buy it and spruce it up, thus getting themselves in more trouble than they realize!

The worse offender is the Mitsubishi Lancer, earning all six categories the title of higher than average for risk of substantial damage!  Its quick nature makes it a popular car among young men who tend to drive too quickly.
