Honda Recalls Odyssey Models
Honda has issued a recall for 528,000 Odyssey and other models. Most of the models that Honda is recalling were sold in the United States. Honda vehicles are sold at many dealerships throughout the United States, and other dealerships include Cleo Bay Suzuki which sells the Suzuki Japanese brand. Honda is issuing a recall that is similar to the recall that was issued last Thursday by Toyota. Nissan, whose models are sold at Allentown Nissan Dealerships did not issue a recent recall for any of its models.
Hyundai also has not issued any recalls over the past few weeks, and Hyundai models can be purchased with savings using Davis Hyundai Coupons. Toyota issued a recall last Thursday for about 1.5 million recalls worldwide which greatly added to the company’s recall total. Most of the recalls are the Odyssey model with 435,000 recalls being Odyssey minivans. The minivans affected are those which were produced from 2005 to 2007. There are some Acura RL sedans which are also involved in the recall by Honda.
At the moment there have been no accidents or injuries stemming from the recall. The recall is due to a potential defect in the master brake cylinder seal of these models. The seal was manufactured by ADVICS for the Toyota and Honda models, which is why both companies have issued a recall. Honda has said that the defect may cause the brakes to leak fluid if the factory brake fluid is not replaced with the same factory fluid. The supplier of the seal changed its manufacturing process after these models were manufactured to accommodate more types of brake fluid, however for those models which were listed by Toyota and Honda, they were not released late enough to have the new seal.
Over the next few months Honda customers will be able to bring their vehicles into dealerships and receive a replacement or repair free of charge.

Chrysler, Toyota, and Volvo Recalls

It has been a busy week so far when it comes to recalls. Not only are several vehicles from Grants Toyota affected, but many Volvo and Chrysler vehicles are being recalled for various reasons. As of right now, none of the vehicles from Harvey Honda Dealers are being impacted by this recall. Toyota and Lexus are having problems with their master cylinders while Volvo is having an issue with airbags and Chrysler has power steering problems. Talk about a variety! Cars can be repaired at Arlington Honda Service, but the recall repair is usually free and has to be done at specific dealerships.
Toyota is currently recalling 1.53 million vehicles in the U.S. and Japan. Master cylinder problems are affecting Lexus, Avalon, and other Toyota vehicles. There are approximately 740,000 cars within the United States and 599,000 over in Japan that are part of the recall. As of right now, there have been no known accidents associated with this problem. Earlier this year in July, a similar recall was issued surrounding Dodge Nitro and Ram 1500 trucks. If you own a Toyota or Lexus, you should visit their respective recall website for further information.
Approximately 10,000 Volvo vehicles are being recalled due to a faulty driver’s side airbag. There is a defect in the wiring that might cause the airbag to deploy incorrectly if it deploys at all. The S80, V70, XC60, and XC70 vehicles are affected that were produced between 2010 and 2011. Volvo has announced that the fix is quite simple and they will be contacting drivers to notify them of where to seek repairs. American brand Chrysler has issued a recall of 26,000 of their vehicles due to faulty electric power steering. If you own a Sebring or Chrysler 300, you will want to contact customer service for further instructions. The same thing applies for owners of the Avenger, Challenger, Journey, and Ram from Dodge.

Say It Isn’t So…Another Toyota Recall!
Toyota is not doing to well lately. It seems they have one hurdle to get over and another one comes. Some where Toyota lost something or someone that was doing the best job of having the reputation in America that they were dependable. I see them now just like so many other manufacturers. Engineers need to slow down and really see what they are designing, if it will work. Instead, consumers months or years later, start to receive recall letters. It is such an inconvenience to visit the dealership to take care of things that should never be an issue. Especially, if you do not receive some kind of “loaner” vehicle. Silverado Deals Bradenton has reliability and customer service with a loaner program if needed.
Toyota now has another recall, say it isn’t so. Toyota will be repairing 1.53 million Avalons and Highlander’s for two different problems. The break master cylinder seal and the fuel pump wiring, need to be repaired due to leaks. Toyota does plan on recalling vehicles in the U.S. alone, separately and is deciding on whether or not to file an official recall in other countries. The numbers for just the U.S. are about 740,000 Avalons, Highlander, Lexus GS300, the IS 250 and IS 350. It does not only effect the U.S. but the other countries also, awaiting will be South America, Oceania, Africa, China and Europe. One reason Toyota will recall vehicles in the U.S. separately is because with the unintended acceleration, reports showed that the company knew of the problem before it devastated so many lives. They waited to long before notifying National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. So, Toyota was fined a hefty fine. Toyota paid it with no questions asked. Cincinnati Ford has reported the high amount of trade-ins coming to the lot from Toyota.
There have been no accidents reported from these two defects. Toyota is not disclosing the impact of the cost of repairs this will have on the company itself. This revelation of another recall just came after the last announcement of almost two months ago. Toyota recalled the Corolla and the Matrix in the U.S. including Canada. An estimate of 1.3 million were recalled due to defective engine control modules that could cause the vehicle to stall. The other big recall that everyone knows about due to all the fatalities associated with them was the unintended accelerating and that carried 14 million vehicles recalled. Just looking at other recalls, Peoria Volkswagen has not had as many recalls compared to that of Toyota.
Toyota has a major mountain to overcome. American people are forgiving, but the hits just keep coming. Will Toyota ever recover from this? Only time will tell, but it does not help when the Lexus brand has recalls also. That is to be luxury and top notch, it is almost that it is being botched with the Camry’s and Avalons. I know I will never buy a used Toyota or even a new Toyota in years to come.

The Hazardous 2010 Cadillac SRX Recall:

A voluntary safety recall has been issued for the 2010 Cadillac SRX model, giving a much needed business spike to Kramer Mazda, a Mazda dealership will the all new Mazda 3. While most can settle for a used car dealer in San Luis Obispo, others chose the 2010 Cadillac SRX and seem to be the ones coming up with the shorter hand. About, 3,996 of them came up with the shorter hand, actually.
The real culprit of the problem is the possible faulty power-steering lines on the SRX–a problem consumers that went to St. Cloud Ford dealerships don’t have to deal with. A leak in the power-steering lines can cause fluid to spray onto hot engine parts creating an engine compartment fire and a whole mess of problems you will not want to have to deal with.
Executives emphasize that no one has suffered from any crashes or injures, and that the one incident that has occurred was in an unattended SRX. Most of these vehicles that were recalled were built in 2009, and the majority of the affected vehicles (3,460) can be found in the United States, while the other 341 existing problematic vehicles have been exported to China.
The owners who may have possibly damaged vehicles are said to be being notified by Cadillac company representatives through the mail, but whether or not they get that crucial letter could be another matter entirely. The 2010 Cadillac SRX vehicle problems could put lives at stake, and even more so–could hinder some from existing if the problem on that certain vehicle is not taken care of, or known to be. Please take care to forward this article and it’s information to you and your loved ones. After all, it might just be the information that could save them from a darker day.

Cadillac SRX Recall

The latest recall news comes from General Motors with their Cadillac SRX crossover. You can still find the 2010 models for sale at Detroit Chevrolet Dealerships, and it is only the models that were manufactured in December of 2009 that are affected. Nonetheless, GM isn’t risking their customer’s safety and is issuing a voluntary recall of affected vehicles. Letters will be sent out to owners regarding if they are affected or not. The vehicles sold at Philadelphia Dodge Dealerships are not impacted by this current recall.
GM became aware of the problem after BMW and Hyundai all issued recalls, and some of those vehicles were damaged and had to seek repairs at Collision Center Reading. It is always shocking to consumers when luxury vehicles are recalled. You would expect that after how much money you spend on your luxury vehicle that there should not be anything wrong with it, ever. The issues with the Cadillac right now is only going to affect a handful of vehicles, but the company is doing their due diligence and taking responsibility; there is no reason for an accident to happen when they are aware of the problem.
There is a potential for damage to the power steering line. If the line becomes compromised, it would most likely leak power steering fluid. There has been on instance of this happening, but luckily nobody was hurt or in the vehicle when it happened. However, if the engine is hot when the power steering fluid leaks, it could potentially cause an engine fire. There were 3,996 vehicles produced in December of 2009 and they were all sold in the United States except for a few that was exported to China. Owners should be receiving a letter shortly about where to seek repair. If you notice power steering fluid on your garage floor, you should seek repairs immediately.

Allstate Suing Toyota
The folks who work at Honda CR-V Springfield can rest easy because they have not been plagued by the amounts of press and recalls that fellow Japanese auto maker Toyota has faced. The newest headlines report that Allstate is suing Toyota for $3 million because of their unintended acceleration problems. Even if you bought your Toyota from Providence Dealership, this news still applies to you in one way or another. It is frustrating as a consumer to read such headlines because for so many years Toyota was one of the most reputable companies across the globe.
While Toyota may not put the luxury into their vehicles like Mercedes-Benz of Alexandria does, Toyota is known for producing safe cars that will last longer than you would ever imagine. However, there have been unprecedented amounts of recalls and press regarding ill-fitting floor mats, sticking gas pedals, and supposed electrical problems that would cause a vehicle to speed up without the driver intentionally doing so. When Toyota has attempted to recreate those problems, they have not been able to. Toyota has tested more than 4,000 vehicles in the United States and have not been able to discover any electrical problem that could cause unintended acceleration.
There has been a lot of press saying that the major lawsuits being brought against Toyota were all going to be dropped because the drivers were found to be at fault, not Toyota’s engines. It makes us wonder, as consumers, why Allstate feels they have the right to sue Toyota for money they had to pay out in claims. Other insurance companies are likely to join in the lawsuit, and some estimate that Toyota will be sued for $10 billion when all is said and done. But, if there is no electrical problem to blame and the floor mats and gas pedals were all fixed, then is Toyota really still the appropriate scapegoat?

Bentley Recall.

There are recalls on a daily basis, and that should be evident by the last few years. Most recalls have to do with optional features and technological parts of the car that go bad. Think of the wiring mechanisms in the vehicles at Toyota Wichita, and some cars are recalled for even smaller reasons. The latest recall to hit the press has to do with the hood ornament on a handful of Bentley vehicles. Apparently, the decorative item can become corroded and won’t retract in the event of an accident like it is supposed to. The hood ornaments on the cars from BMW Los Angeles are small and flush with the hood of the vehicle.
Over time, hood ornaments are falling out of fashion. Think of all the cars at Ford Lancaster, and then try to think of a model with a decorative item protruding from the hood. There really aren’t any that come to mind, and car makers are putting more of their efforts and attention into the quality of the vehicle. While a hood ornament might look nice, it really does not serve a purpose and you run the risk of it falling off or coming loose in a minor accident, both of which will leave you with an unsightly blemish on the front of your vehicle.
There are 596 Bentley vehicles in the U.S. that will be affected by the recall. The Arnage, Azure, and Brookland vehicles for the model years 2007 through 2009 are part of the recall by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Owners are able to have the “flying B” replaced at no cost by Volkswagen AG, the parent company of Bentley. The main concern about the safety has to do with pedestrian accidents. During a collision between a pedestrian and the vehicle, the hood ornament would pose greater risk of injury because it is becoming corroded and not retracting like it is designed to do.

F-150 Possible Recall.

If you turn on your TV or look at the newspaper headlines every now and again, chances are you have seen some news blurb about an automotive recall. They are becoming so frequent that your children could have an alphabet song created about the recent influx of recalls. Sometimes they are for valid reasons and Cleveland Chevrolet has been associated with a few recalls this year. No one can deny that the first word that pops into your mind when you hear “recall” is likely “Toyota.” That investigation is a sad situation all around and it is still consuming lots of time. Luckily for Alexandria Hyundai and other auto brands, Toyota is being the guinea pig in long, drawn out recall investigations rather than other brands.
Ford Motor Company has been winning lots of safety awards for their 2010 line up of vehicles. Consumers are really impressed with the overwhelming quality and features that is apparent in all of their vehicles. A blast from the past, the 1997-2001 Ford F-150 trucks may shake things up a little bit. The current investigation could possibly result in 1.4 million trucks being recalled because of rust and corrosion that is on the fuel tank straps. The cars at Oakville VW have also received several safety awards this year.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) currently has an investigation in progress about whether or not Ford should issue a recall. Typically, recalls are not put into place for vehicles that are more than ten years old. However, there have been 32 complaints so far from owners and 28 of the complaints registered have actually had the straps break. This can be a very dangerous situation that could result in a fire. As of yet, no one has been injured due to the faulty fuel tank straps. Six of the owners who filed complaints reported that fuel did leak from the tank when it fell. If there is a recall put into place, Ford is not required to pay for the repairs because after the vehicle is ten years old, it is the responsiblity of the owner, not the manufacturer.

Soul and Sorento Recalls!

Recall does not have to be a four letter word! Think of how many auto brands face a new recall everyday. While not all of them make the headlines, it is amazing to see how many recalls are put into place on a daily basis by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Many of the recalls are voluntary and initiated by the auto maker; no one wants to be responsible for accidents that could happen. Now that Longview Honda Dealers have gotten over their later Element recall, it appears to be Kia’s turn.
It was announced last week that 56,000 of the Kia vehicles will be recalled from the United States as well as South Korea. Typical to most recalls, there are more than one model being recalled; the Kia Soul and the Kia Sorento. Just recently the Ford Windstar from Denver Ford Dealers and other locations was recalled. And consumers are all too aware of the recalls that have plagued dealerships like Seattle Toyota Dealers, although the acceleration problem is starting to seem like driver error rather than vehicle error!
The main reason for the recall has to do with a wiring harness from Johnson Controls. The lighting harness wasn’t soldered correctly, so there is the chance of the electrical components shorting out. As of yet, there have been no reported accidents nor injuries. Kia has known about this problem since June and announced the recall on August 23, 2010. There will be 23,792 Kia Soul cars recalled from the 2010 model year. Additionally, there will be 11,213 of the Kia Sorento models recalled from the 2011 production year. The Kia Soul is also under investigation for possible steering problems, but this has yet to become an actual problem. Kia and the NHTSA are investigating the issue after the Hyundai Sonata was affected. Drivers will be contacted with further instructions to get their cars repaired.
